ROV Downunder has delivered a T38 LYYN Video Enhancement Unit to Pacific Marine Group of Townsville for use in their diving operations. PMG 'borrowed' a demo unit for a week and were impressed enough by its performance to purchase their own for use in their diving operations.

One of the attractions of the T38 LYYN VE unit for PMG is, as well as enhancing live video feeds, the ability to process previously recorded video and enhance it.

July 2010

ROV Downunder has delivered an AC-ROV system package to Tyco Flow Control Pacific of Queensland.

Package included a SP50 AC-ROV system with 100m tether, TDS, slip-ring, Cygnus Thickness Gauge, laser scaling, a manipulator and a T38 LYYN Video Enhancement Unit.

TFCP is a major provider of products and services to most of the regions water, industrial process and infrastructure projects.

JUNE 2010

ROV Downunder, in partnership with the SeaView Systems of the US, completed a very successful 2010 inspection campaign of the Gold Coast Desalination Plant tunnels. A total of 3x 2.1km tunnel penetrations, including an extended penetration into the intake riser was carried-out. Full video and profiler data captured for full lengths of intake and outfall tunnels.

This is the second annual inspection of the Gold Coast plants tunnels and gives the plants operators some bench-marks with which to gauge future plant performance and maintenance. A big thank you to Mathew Cook, Geoff Cook and Simon Cook, for all your work and insight. Who said too many Cooks spoil the broth!

MAY 2010

ROV Downunder carried-out visual inspections on 4x flocculation tanks at the Gold Coast Desalination Plant using its SeaBotix LBV 200L system.
